Ranchi: City-based schools have begun incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) tools into their teaching methodologies, empowering students to harness the benefits of technology. This innovative approach aims to enhance learning experience and promote creative thinking of the students, besides preparing them for an increasingly tech-driven world.
Schools like Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali, Oxford Public School, Firayalal Public School, Gurunanak Higher Secondary School, Bridgeford School, and Kairali School, are imparting AI-based knowledge to students, covering both practical and theoretical aspects.
Principal of Jawahar Vidya Mandir-Shyamali, Smarjit Jana, said, “By incorporating AI into our curriculum, we are equipping students with essential skills needed for changing workplace dynamics.”
Experts believe that integrating AI into classrooms can provide personalised learning opportunities, allowing students to progress at their own pace.
Principal of Firayalal Public School, Niraj Kumar Sinha, said, “By embracing AI, we not only enhance students’ educational experience but also equip them with the skills needed for future.”
Principal of Bridgeford Public School, Seema Chitalangia, said, “Students have reported feeling more engaged and motivated in studies, as AI tools provide instant feedback and tailor lessons to suit their individual strengths and weaknesses.”
However, experts emphasize the importance of addressing the associated risk factors. Principal of Kairali School, Rajesh Pillai, said, “While AI offers tremendous opportunities, we must also educate students about its ethical implications and potential risks. Understanding the do’s and dont’s of AI usage is crucial too.”
Geta Tiwari, a parent, said, “We are concerned about the risks associated with AI. But we also want our kids to be prepared for the future.”
